Safe Covid-19 Vaccine Process in Thailand

Our award-winning dental hospital employ hospital safety standards regardless on dental treatments or on covid-19 or annual flu vaccination for our staff. During our covid-19 vaccination day, standardized flow and emergency measures were in place to streamline our covid-19 vaccination roll-out.

Prior to being eligible for covid-19 vaccine, registration was done with Ministry of Public Health in Thailand to request on for covid-19 vaccines allocation batch lots. All team candidates were screened on health and medical history to check on potential allergies, health concerns on suitability for vaccination.

Blood pressure and oxygen levels is assessed by our registered nurse to ensure each healthcare staff met criteria on day of vaccination. If any counter-indications were detected or base indications not met, covid-19 vaccination were advised to be post-phoned to another day.

Every individual member has an unique form. Each member audited and checked their name as well as recorded their specific covid-19 batch numbers before signing their records to receive their covid-19 vaccine.

After administration of covid-19 vaccine by our registered nurse, each member was monitoring for at least 30 minutes for any potential reactions. This is so that any appropriate medical treatment may be used to manage any immediate adverse allergic reactions including possible anaphylactic reaction. Vital signs on blood pressure and oxygen level were re-assessed by nurses prior to discharge.

A licensed medical doctor was stationed on standby at BIDH dental hospital vaccination area to monitor post-vaccination members. A full capacity emergency cart with trained ACLS and BLS doctor and nurses were always present during the administration of the covid-10 vaccines.

All vaccinated staff were given a phone-call to report and check on their vaccination progress after 1 day and periodically thereafter. The nurses check for any side effects that may include fever, chills, headache, tiredness or muscle aches from the vaccination process. If any symptoms manifest, these are referred and managed with over-the-counter medications or doctor check. The vaccination progress is tracked and checked to be reported by the Thailand’s Public Health Ministry.
